Our ethos is rooted in the belief that education and wellbeing go hand in hand. Guided by our values of Resilience & Independence, Health & Wellbeing, Honesty & Integrity, and Friendship & Kindness, we create spaces where learners can rebuild confidence and rediscover their strengths.
Our Team
Zoe Waitz and Michelle Pascoe are the co-founders of Meadow Pathways and have worked together for over 11 years in specialist education. Together they bring deep experience in supporting children and young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
Michelle Pascoe
Michelle is the founding director and lead therapist for EOTAS and Meadow Pathways Wellbeing and Education Cornwall. She supports children and young people within the community who experience Special Educational Needs (SEN), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, educational trauma, bereavement, and Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA).
A qualified counsellor and play therapist with over 20 years of experience, Michelle works in a trauma-informed, person-centred way, focusing on building trust and emotional safety with families, schools, and professionals. Her approach combines therapeutic insight with creativity and compassion, helping children rediscover their confidence, curiosity, and sense of belonging.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys exploring Cornwall’s coastal paths and woodlands with her dogs, Pixie and Ivey. She brings warmth, creativity, and a deep commitment to fostering relationships that support both healing and learning.
Zoe Waitz
Founding Director
Zoe is a founding director of Meadow Pathways and brings a warm, relational approach to supporting children, young people, and families. Her vision is rooted in creating safe, inclusive, and nurturing spaces where every learner is truly seen, heard, and understood.
She began her journey in education as a Teaching Assistant before qualifying as a PE teacher. Over time, she took on pastoral roles, later becoming a senior leader within specialist education. These experiences shaped her commitment to wellbeing-focused, trauma-informed, and child-centred practice.
Zoe also has a strong background in outdoor education. As a former outdoor education instructor, she believes profoundly in the healing and stabilising power of nature. Her practice often incorporates outdoor learning, movement, creativity, and connection with the environment to support regulation and confidence building.
Zoe’s leadership style reflects the core values of Meadow Pathways: care, creativity, trust, belonging, and genuine connection. She is passionate about ensuring that every part of the service prioritises emotional safety and positive relationships, and that families experience support that is consistent, compassionate, and meaningful.
